Programs Overview

WFK KOICA-Volunteers are dispatched by the Korean government. It has over 30 years of history since its first mission in 1990. As a part of ODA programs for partner countries, the program is managed by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Requirements
  • Individuals aged 19 or older with strong volunteer spirit Korean citizenship who can serve abroad, meet host-country requirements Not disqualified under Article 33 of the National Civil Service Act Male applicants must have completed or been exempted from military duty
Entitlement
  • Domestic Training Departure: Pre-departure allowance, airfare, baggage fees, visa aid, and vaccination On-site Support: Living costs, housing, project funds, capacity-building, and emergency care Return Support: Return allowance, airfare, cargo fees, and career savings Post-Return: Job and startup support
