Programs Overview

WFK KOICA-Volunteers are dispatched by the Korean government. It has over 30 years of history since its first mission in 1990. As a part of ODA programs for partner countries, the program is managed by the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA) under the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Requirements
  • South Korean citizens (19+) with a strong volunteer spirit. Capable of effectively performing overseas volunteer work. Able to meet the qualification criteria of the cooperating country. Free from disqualification criteria (National Civil Service Act, Article 33). For males: completed or exempted from military service.
Entitlement
  • Support For Domestic Training, Departure, On-site Support, Return Support, Post-Return Management, Accumulated Dispatch(Remote) Performance The WFK Scholarship is awarded through a specified selection process, providing 75% of annual tuition fees with an annual limit of KRW 10 million.
